Ashe Humane Society has earned a 2026 Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency, thanks in large part to our supportive community, which makes it easy for us to report fabulous results in animal rescue!

The Platinum Seal is the highest level of recognition offered by Candid (formerly known as GuideStar) and is only provided to the best charities and top nonprofits that meet the required standards of transparency and accountability.

Candid is the world’s largest database of nonprofit organizations. This nonprofit rating initiative provides information necessary to make a well-informed determination to anyone looking to donate to top charities and nonprofits. To date in 2026, fewer than one percent of U.S.-based non-profit organizations have been recognized with the Platinum Seal to date.
