FOSTERS

The rewards (and challenges!) of fostering are immense! Whether you can foster an older dog or cat shutting down at animal control, give space to a convalescing animal, care for a pregnant mom and her pups or kittens, or even hand-raise orphan “bottle babies”, know that AHS will cover all your costs and offer guided, hands-on advice and assistance. We have a foster volunteer coordinator who will mentor you and teach you the ropes and who will be on hand to respond to your needs and just to check in.

 

The Humane Society provides the following benefits to Foster Parent Volunteers:

• The basic supplies needed to care for your foster pet.

• Instructions to help you care for your foster pet.

• Payment of all vet care expenses, regular screenings, and medical services.

• Adoption placements for any pets you foster.​​​​
